A low information female in the background called his hat racist. MAGA is racist? How is it racist?
Strange times.

Yeah, that was silly of her to make such a comment. It reminded me of one of those times when my child tries to input himself into a conversation between my wife and I. He gets the cold stare that tells him to close his mouth and hastily move away from me.

Her comments on the hat being racist were as dumb as the boy trying to convince everyone that he wasn't trying to provoke a situation with his teacher by wearing a hat in the classroom. Kids say/do the darndest things sometimes.

SFC (Join to see) - If there was a rule to not wear a hat, I agree with you SFC. I could not tell if there was one, or not listening to the teacher.
I thought the pink pussy hats were over the top a few months past. But in America, I do not have a right to not be offended.
Have a great day SFC and thank you for your service to our country.

SSG (Join to see) Agreed. The left and the right have quite the number of "common" slogans they use when they have no argument. I see them all quite frequently.

Clearly the student was intending to be provocative, he was wearing a hat indoors, against school dress code. He was challenging his teacher's and school's authority to maintain certain standards. The child used a MAGA hat because it would serve as a pre-planned Red Herring, where he could easily shift the point from being about dress code, to being about his political views. He made multiple attempts, and finally got his teacher to take the bait. He even frustrated his teacher into using ad hominem. Well played. The fact remains though, all actions were a result of the child's initial defiance. His parents should be ashamed of him. I would be, because I teach my kids to use the rules to their advantage, not to break them and expect pity.

The upside is that at least they didn't go overboard and have the child bodyslammed and arrested for being defiant, as shown in this video. What's even crazier, is if you read the comments section of the video, hundreds of people supported/justified the violent removal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBSrccdaqXo

Segue: On the installations in my area, the previous Commanding General had a policy that no hats were allowed to be worn indoors (PX, Gym, Pool, Library, etc), even when in civilian clothes; nor where they allowed to be worn sideways or backwards when outside. Everyone abided by the policy, aside from those with authorized religious exceptions and armed MPs. When the new Commanding General came in, he rescinded all of the hat rules, and some other overly-strict dress/shaving policies; many people starting wearing hats indoors, backwards, and sideways.
