It seems that Sunday and Monday were a busy days for operations for the U.S. coalition in the Middle East. Evidence of this is showing up through multiple reports in the media. Strikes occurred both from the air and on the ground. Multiple strikes in multiple locations taking out strategic people within ISIS and other terrorist organizations. It's likely the combined force of all of these strikes will weaken the IS. Continued strikes such as these could cause IS to fall.
"At 5:30 pm coalition jets started shelling ISIS bases in the villages of Tolband and Kulabor on the Khazir front in Mosul," Brig. Saed Hazhar, deputy commander of the elite Zeravani Peshmerga, told Rudaw by phone. He confirmed the killing and wounding of dozens of militants, as well as the "complete destruction of nine military bases."
