Damn, I wish I had thought of this. It's really obvious, isn't it. I wonder why no one ever picked up on it before? I have little to add other than to speculate on how we might help these modern Sons and Daughters of Temperance translate the slogans from that earlier movement.
"Lips that touch liquor shall never touch ours" could be "Fingers that touch triggers shall never touch ..." (now fill in the blank and keep it nice)
