Test flying a MIG-15 in late 1953. The plane was tested in Okinawa in the event the Koreans wanted the plane back. A Korean defector flew the plane to South Korea in late 1953.

I know in the 80s we had an aggressor squadron that participated in red flags. Cool history...

Later on a Russian flew a newer type to Japan.
