PFC Harry Leuchen
This is old news.
Just out of curiosity, how did Hamilton know what to put in Federalist #29 in January 1788 about the Second Amendment, which wasn't proposed until 20 months later, in September 1789? Was he a mind-reader or a time traveler?
Could it be that he was talking about the Militia Clause (Article I, clause 16)? I merely ask because he actually quoted cl. 16 a couple of times in Federalist #29. It also ignores Federalist #46, by Madison, which talks about individual rights.
Also, you're wrong on who is the Militia, according to federal law, that has been the same since 1792. The militia is all abled-body males from age 17 to 45. You may want to look up the U.S. Code on that. It's in Title 10, s. 311.
And anyone who celebrates the death of anyone, much less a person who served his country for 34 years, has a lot of growing up to do.
So the only thing the article proves is that Brett Arends should stick to finance, instead of law and history.
