It made the hair on my arms stand up. He wrote it very well. "If not me, the who? If not now, then when?" Powerful and I dare not speak more lest it detract from this power.

I suppose one really doesn't know how it feels to loose a loved one until it happens to you. I have two adult children who I worry about every day, although they never get even close to an environment like Gen. Kelly's son. I admire the way the General captured his feelings in his comments. That must have been incredibly difficult for him. My heart goes out to him and his family.

it was a great speech given by a man who raised a fantastic son, almost everyone who served under him loved him. He makes some amazing points about grief and our society today. I can say I honestly cried a lot while reading the whole speech and I wish everyone in our nation could be exposed to this in hopes it would give some much needed perspective.
