I'll add one qualifier to your third point: Being able to repeat what has been said "in your own words and to the satisfaction of the speaker whom you are repeating"

In the case of #3 and conflict resolution, it is imperative to know your audience. In my experience, it quickly backfires when you don't repeat it back in the language (vocabulary) of the speaker. Also, the speaker may not even be listening to how you restate their words and can automatically defensively no matter what you say.
