Any source that doesn’t know the difference between a Physician Assistant and a Physician’s assistant is moronic. 11% of practicing PAs are in ortho. 10% of the board exam is musculoskeletal disorders.

I entirely understand, honest...I was only trying to inject some slightmlevity, if it was misplaced, I apologize...my object in sending in the site was to illustrate the existence of a little known variety of PA-C that only apparemtly still exists in a very few states, I'd known of NY, CA, and TN, I didn't know of Tx, I'm not sure OPA-Cs exist therez I !erepy fpimd the site, and thought it'd ne a relatively good illustration, honest. Please believe !e, I trained and worked with many, many PAs, among other fields before !y disability. In M States there's a very little known license, called a registered specialist asst (RSA), that exists for ortho, urology, and radio, unusually, there are no degree programs for it in MY State, I'm not entirely certain of howmotmarose, I've been researching the topic for some ti!e. Once, while I'd been in residency, before we shut my license off due to disability. I had occasion to speak with another resident who had actually taken the OPA+C exam in Manhattan. His uncle waa an AAOS boarded orthpod, who apparemtly sponsored his nephew, that resident for that exam. Only an AAOS boarded orthopod can so sponsor, other ortho boards, e.g., AANOS, can't, I checked, as I trained under onez who'd been willing to write me a recommend. One orthopod I trained under, who was AAOS boarded, I nearly got to write !e such an endorsement. My interest innte license was that, before NU recently granted extended ortho priviliegesmfor lower extremity in my field, though I was disabled by thenz the only way one could exercise such privileges was B mhaving either an RSA, or N RPA-C, in working with an orthopod. I know the story is highly unusual, however, I've checked it extremely thoroughly, I'll send in the RSA link in a moment so you can look at it as well. Please ne assured, I've looked into the group offering the license in very great detail, yes, it''s an oddball, I admit that, however, it's also quite real, in fact, many Carribean !eds who can't pass USMLE I I've found out try to get the RSA license as s way station, to !ale ends meet, while they're prepping for USMLSmor maybe even Complex again, if they try to transfer to a DO program. I know it:s strange, however, ifmyou look into it, I assure you, it's all quite reap, promise, I'd be most eager for any thoughts, the OPA-C is evidently a still existing anachronistic holdover persisting in a few states, while peculiar, as I said, it is, I assure you, quite genuine, honest, many thanks.

As I said, please do trust!e, imrealozemtuis is quite confusing, imrealoze typical clinical staff generally javentnjeard of OPA+CS, however as I said, imassire you, the field is quite real, though, as imapso !mentioned, very little known. How and why it still exists is, quite frankly, a !ustery to me, as well, I assure you, trust me, just look upmOP-C and read the RSA page, they have a professional association, as well!as a board of examiners like any other credentialed field. They're totally separate from he AAPA, which I know falls under the AMA, though has close ties to the AOA as well for osteopathic med...I'd ne most eager for your thoughtsz, tristm!e, when I first learned of the field, I was as frankly dubious as I realize you must ne, however, before my total!perm disability, I assure you, I was more than around the clinical block, I scrubbed some 300 surgeries, treated about 10000 patients in alp, give or takez and did seven yes of residency, mof which I finished six before I got too ill to finish my board eligibility certificate, we shut my license sevl yrs ago due to the disability, I'd wanted to try going USPHS Commissioned Corps, I was just never ablez unfortunately many thanks....
