This is a tough one. Generally, I am against government involvement in anything beyond the enumerated powers. However, monopolies are worthy of regulation. "A well-regulated monopoly" has an appealing ring to it, doesn't it? But then consider, when has government ever regulated anything well? Bureaucrats are people who couldn't manage a company. That's why they're bureaucrats. Why then should we give them the power to manage companies they don't own or work for? That being said, if we must regulate monopolies, let's stick to monopolies. The Internet is not a monopoly. It is an aggregate of many switches owned and operated by many different companies. ISP's (Internet Service Providers), the companies that connect you to the Internet are mostly monopolies (and many take advantage of the fact that you don't have elsewhere to turn for ISP services). Thus, I am willing to consider well-regulated ISP's, but leave the Internet out of this...
