It’s nice here at Humphrey’s, but it’s definitely not right next to the North Korean border. There are probably half a dozen to a dozen bases between Humphreys and the DMZ. Camp Casey being the closest camp at ~18miles away and Rodrigo Range being the closest at ~10-15 miles away.

I was stationed at Camp Humphreys 2003-2004 before all the construction. I would like to go back to visit to see the changes.

Some say that 2ID (Camp Casey) is just a speed bump

I don't know the exact amount of time, but from what I have heard from both the PNN and just general research, it's around 18 minutes for Casey, and hours for everyone outside of Area I. It is nicknamed the speed bump because in case of war, the bridge that crosses the Han River is supposed to be blown up in order to stop the initial push of North Korea, effectively trapping those North of the Han River right there by themselves.
