Not to go into details but this is based on intel coming out of Yemen. Daallo Flight 159 was taken down by a laptop bomb - the device made it through x-ray and other security measures.

It has already brought difficulties to Service members and DOD Civilians and contractors on flights home. My return flight is going to be a long boring one.

What about US government owned electronics on the flights?
