@SGT Chris Wagoner I have insurance through USCCA. I don't have it because I buy into the "You are automatically treated as a criminal" school of thought, more out of the better to have and not need than need and not have mentality. I have seen some of these sky is falling videos, and they are sickening.

I have mine through US law shield and the reason I got the insurance wasn't for the criminal lawsuits but for the civil lawsuits.

I am glad both of you have it. I have it also through USCCA and NRA. Insurance aside though, remember you were in the right. Use your rights. Thanks for reaching and commenting..

Insurance companies are some of the biggest jokes of the modern world . If you think about it your dishing out tens if not hundreds of dollars for a promise.

Having insurance is always important, the law's vary from state to state and you have to know the ones that apply to you. I always recommend the NRA however there are many great options out there. That being said, regardless of the laws in your state, if you are legally allowed to carry a firearm (open or concealed) for self defense, remember that it is for just that. If you are ever put in a position where you need to use it to defend your or your families life, having it is always better than not. If you do not and the situation ever arises then you may not even have to worry about the aftermath.
