I think job loss because of AI is overstated, as is the concept in general. AI is looking like the typical Dot.Com bubble being pushed be companies that still haven't found a way to utilize and make it pay. It your job can be replaced by AI, it probably isn't very secure anyway. Remember the Musk let go 70% of the Twitter Staff with apparently no downside. Most major corporations and especially Tech Companies are very bloated and you could lose 50% of the corporate staff and not lose any productivity. I would suggest starting with HR.
I didn't know company loyalty was even a thing anymore. Most corporations treat employees like crap and wonder why they can't find help. I won't give notice anymore and I haven't been afraid for walk away from a job in the last couple of decades.
I also think he missed the fact that there are almost two economies anymore, the Corporate culture and an economy that produces the services and goods required for a society to function. I think the labor and wage market for skilled labor with continue to boom, and apparently Gen Z is realizing the fact that a plumbers or electricians make as much or more than lawyers. After ignoring it for 40 years, it's a trend I like to see.
