This is an interesting take on what happen between the Media and Pres.-Elect Trump. In some ways this is a “spin piece” where the New York Times is possibly coming out ahead in spite of the fact he took them all to the preverbal “wood shed.” PE Trump is right in calling the called liberal media assembled corrupt and dishonest. All I can say is the adults have voted and put Donald Trump in charge for the next four years.
Lets face the facts, the liberal media got it all wrong this election cycle because of they live in a “coastal bubble” and have no idea what the rest of America thinks or feel. They have no sense of the realities and costs to this nation that eight years of Obama has cost the rest of us. Like high school cheerleaders they rooted shamelessly for HRC and buried damaging news stories while their coverage of him was definitely unfair and unbalanced. During the course of this election they dropped all pretenses and America has seen them for the lying elitist hypocrites that they are.
I think it very rich that they were delusional in thinking they were going to leverage access and ultimately control how this new administration will be covered in the news. Now they know they will not be able to filter and slant the news and they are acting (along with the rest of the far left) like a bunch of spoiled high school brats who have hit the first major obstacle in their poor pathetic lives. Again, the adults in the rest of the nation have spoken and put Donald Trump in charge for the next four years.
We of “fly over country” have long memories and tend to see things and liberal media hypocrisy for as they are and not as some “media talking” wants to spin facts and events. Example is when BHO was elected (twice) we the “un-cool kids” were told basically to sit down, shut up and accept what he and the loony left was dishing out. Eight years later and after this great country was almost destroyed, they expect us to be “inclusive” and listen to their points of view.
But this media drama does highlight a larger issue and that is fact there are really no real objective and unbiased journalists left in the world. As an armchair historian, I seriously doubt there ever were but at least the media in the past tried to confine the bias to the editorial pages.
