Certainly not pics from CNN .... who knows where they were staged? American boots on the ground would get my attention. Otherwise, it's the ghost of the Soviet Union doing what it always did to it's client states.

Sgt Wayne Wood That is an interesting way to look at things. Trust me when I say I don't necessarily lean toward CNN for "fair" coverage. However, I did find this particular article interesting.

SFC Christopher Perry - I have been accused of questioning CNN's credibility. My take, don't you have to have credibility before it can be questioned?

If there was a viable option put forward to help the people. Until we have a top level strategy there isn't much of a reason to concern ourselves with it. Since there isn't a viable strategy that doesn't involve somebody's boots on the ground, there isn't much willingness to involve ourselves in another mid-east ground combat.

MAJ (Join to see) While I do agree with you for the most part, big picture wise, I feel we have no choice but to care. I don't know that we can continue to keep our collective heads buried in the sand on this one. We all know that instability in the region is bad for everyone. Obviously, the whole refugee piece has found its way into conversations on the largest stages we have to offer these days. If we choose not to pay attention and leave it purely to Mr. Putin it could get much worse. Just my two cents on the matter, take it for exactly what it's worth.

I agree entirely, unfortunately war without commitment is disastrous, and it will take a crisis that affects the US before typical citizens decide to involve themselves. So long as Kim Kardashians Jewels are in the news no one cares about Aleppo.
