When a Graduate Degree Just Isn't Worth it

The ROI on a degree is not as high as taking that same money to start a business, and learn from that while networking within the real world. I agree more with the Peter Theil philosophy, you can learn and network better with the 100-400k that you spend on college. Just use modern technology to learn faster and hypernetwork on social media.

Most of my peers who were very qualified immediately found good job when we graduated with our accounting degrees, the individuals who struggled to get a job found themselves getting their Masters degree in lieu of a job. Eventually we all got our masters degrees, the direct masters degreed individuals appear to have had the hardest time career wise. I'll take experience over an education, and education and experience over just experience any day of the year.

I got much more out of grad school having worked as an engineer for a few years before attending than the kids that went straight into it. I could communicate with the profs better.
