At least he acknowledged that the individual states have jurisdiction within their own borders.

Sucks to be the person who lives in one state that embraces fair treatment for LGBTQ individuals but travels to other states for personal or business reasons and find themselves subject to legal discriminatory style laws against them. But that is indeed our America of the past, present, and seemingly future.

MAJ James Woods - Those of us with Concealed Carry permits feel the same pain. Trust me on this.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - Excellent example. Weapon carry laws (open carry and concealed carry) differ by states can lead to unfortunate consequences; yet still easier to resolve than gender identity and other LGBTQ equality issues.

MSgt Michael Bischoff --- That is the issue exactly... Men are created equal and remain so regardless of whatever mental fantasies they have about their biological gender.

What Trump did was exactly the right thing to do... Give it back to states to decide. It should not be a Federal dictate.

MSgt Michael Bischoff - Not sure I understand your point. Trump can say or think whatever he wants. He simply kicked the decision on how to handle the issue back to the states.

States or, if the states want, local jurisdictions, can decide how they want to handle the issue. It should certainly not be a Federal issue.

My personal feeling is that no male has the right to use a female restroom and vice versa, regardless what makes them "feel comfortable". Their "right" to feel comfortable does not trump the rights of others, who may feel uncomfortable with a member of the opposite sex in the same restroom as them.

A person can no more change their sex by how they "feel" than they can change their race by how they feel. Sure, they can dress up like the opposite sex, act like the opposite sex, actually believe they are the opposite sex, but the fact is that they are whatever sex they were born and that is clearly defined (in most cases) by their genitals, at least to clear-thinking people. While I understand the whole gender dysphoria data, that does not change the facts of physical biology.
