We expect the police to be legal scholars, to remain unfazed by the crime and filth they see daily. Supermen with the wisdom of Solomon and the patience of Jobe that are able to run down and apprehend criminals who may be larger and stronger than them without assistance and not hurting anyone in the process. We expect the very best from them and treat them the very worst. If we treat them like crap we will not have them for long.
