Thanks for the correction, I met Admiral Mullen just before he became CNO, great guy and officer.

This was 2005 in Nettuno, Italy after Adm. Mullen gave a talk in honor of the 60th Anniversary of the end of WWII at a ceremony we initiated. The scene is presenting a framed photo of the USS Yorktown in NYC at Fleet Week, the Adm had been CO. He was very happy to receive.

Obviously, the guy who pulled his name and opted to retire as just announced had some kind of personal aggravation, that much was seemingly apparent...however, historically, I shouldn't think which part of the Navy the next one tapped would be from, quite honestly...I wasn't Navy, so maybe I ought not to have an opinion, however, I really shouldn't think which segment the next one is from ought to matter all that much, in all honesty, you know?
