SP5 Mark Kuzinski great topic, in my opinion, I like this statement:By the time someone makes General, he’s likely to have lived in every region of our country and in a whole lot of states. No other candidate would be able to represent every nook and cranny of our nation with the kind of understanding that only comes from living there.

Many Generals are great statesman also.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a General, but I am definitely supportive of a veteran in the Oval Office. I was discussing this with my leadership today actually, the amount of world experience and knowledge a veteran has compared to most civilians is tremendous. Most of the kids I went to High School with still haven't left our hometown. They are the ones that want free healthcare, free college, and $15 minimum wage, without thinking of the potential consequences or what would be sacrificed to achieve these goals. I am not posting this to debate the political aspects, just sharing my observation that most (not all) civilians are annoyingly naive compared to their veteran counterparts.
