Why are Europe and Canada regarded as much superior countries to the US? Has the US really fallen...

Who says Europe and Canada are superior? Well, the American media proclaim they are superior almost daily. American journalists, having been indoctrinated in the ideology of the Progressive Movement, see Europe and Canada as exemplars of near perfect societies and use them as the prototype towards which America should aspire. However, I don't see mass immigration heading away from America, do you? I still see Canadians and Europeans immigrating to America, don't you? I guess they haven't gotten the word yet
