I remember mini-ice age warning in high school and similar scary literature was passed around. We had serious discussions about that too. I was a 17 year old activist. Climate change happens over time and mankind has certainly had a small part in changing the current atmospheric chemistry. However, to place it at the pinnacle of nation security threats is similar to a large meteorite hitting Kansas. It may happen someday, but I would hate to brief it every week in a slideshow until it does.
