Probably because we all change over time and some of us can't get our changes to mesh with the changes of our (former) friends. It can be sad if it is a sudden break.

I keep up with friends on Facebook, due to some living hundreds of miles away. Other than that, I believe it depends on how their lifestyles are.

Well done SPC Margaret Higgins . I do too. Generally speaking, wo.en are better at it than men are though there are exceptions.
