My question in return is, “Why does American Jewish voters overwhelmingly support Democrats?” Most Conservative voters strongly support Israel, as I do.

I've asked the same question many times. Growing up, my Jewish friends came from conservative (not politically) families with strong family values, Saturday Sabbath worshipers, learning Hebrew after school, and strong respect for authority, specially the parents. And yet, as I grew up, it seemed that most, if not all of the Jews I knew were Democrats.

It is the common sense thing to do, support Israel. If Israel did not exist it would be another country that was targeted.

Would you please clarify what you mean in regards to support? Are you talking about foreign aid? I don't think America should be sending foreign aid to any country.

That's an important topic of discussion. Personally, I believe that the US has sent far too much money to far too many nations with far too little to show for it. You simply can't buy friendship. However I don't have a problem with investments that show a good return. Israel has been a very good investment. Few others have...

CPT Jack Durish - I still don't think America should be sending money to any nation. America has a national debt of $22+ trillion and countless other problems at home to deal with. We simply don't have the money to be giving aid to other nations! I don't understand why any American would believe America should be putting Israel ahead of America's needs. Charity starts at home after all.
