Why Israel has the most technologically advanced military on Earth

Fascinating. Also, Israel benefits from a cultural imperative that extols education. Jewish children don't learn because they must. They are rather infused with a love of learning and scholars are highly respected (think Yeshiva Boys). I wonder how this sits with those who think that all religion is the enemy of education and science?
