Why No One Eats 'Supper' Anymore and How It Differs from 'Dinner'

Now, that's interesting. I was born and raised in Maryland by parents born and raised in Pennsylvania. That may explain why we used "supper" while others in Maryland said 'dinner". (Then again, it most like confuses things even more inasmuch as I don't know what they said north of the Mason/Dixon Line). My main meal or dinner is breakfast. Now, that is confusing. I consume more calories (400 to 450) at that meal than any other and don't really eat more than a snack at dinner or supper time.
