Control of immigration into our country is a fundamental responsibility of our government and President Trump fully understands that and is going to get it done, despite the efforts of liberal/progressive idiots who support "open borders" and all that crap.

One of the biggest problems with "today's immigrants" (legal and illegal), as compared to the legal immigrants of the past, is that many (most?) have no desire to assimilate into our country, accept our cultures, traditions, beliefs, or, even, laws, learn our language, etc.. Many are simply here to force their beliefs/religion on America as part of Islam's quest for world domination. In most cases, they left a shit-hole country/culture to come here and turn our country into a similar shit-hole.

Our country needs to regain control of immigration, which includes re-establishing control of our borders, vetting those allowed to enter, and identifying and dealing with those already illegally in our country (deportation, issuing work permits and visas, etc.). Anything else, such as allowing the current situation to continue, is fool-hearty and will cause the eventual destruction of our country and way of life.

Agree 100%. My grandparents immigrated here from Denmark and I can remember my fathers stories about how the kids would be punished if found not speaking English. That punishment would generally be accompanied by a lecture about having to become Americans now. I somehow can't see this type of behavior these days; heck we evenneed to have public business conducted in other languages and provide interpreters when trying to conduct any official business.

That article is so "pie in the sky optimistic" that it totally ignores the very REAL and documented events that ARE happening in Europe. The "immigrants" in Europe are not there to enrich European society with their educational and cultural uniqueness and skills. They are there, and have made it clear, that they are there to overtake Europe by outbreeding the indigenous populations until what used to be those civilizations are essentially gone forever; reproductive genocide.

Their tactics are to move in, gain political power, and then subvert indigenous laws to Islamic Sharia law. This has already happened in France, Britain, and Germany. In Sweden, it is now illegal to teach or promote their own cultural history and traditions.

The people going to fight on behalf of ISIS from Europe are those who have been inculcated in the terrorist ways, and have been trained and equipped to fight in the Middle East. The article says that more are going from Europe than the US. Yeah because Europe has thrown open the doors and welcome them in with open arms, money, and benefits.

The crimes going on in Europe are heinous. Everything from simple intimidation to gang-rapes and human trafficking are now commonplace in Britain, France, Germany, and the Nordic countries. I have seen a YouTube video of Islamic men selling underaged girls on the streets of London, with no fear of repercussion. Tromso Sweden has become the rape capital of Europe. Two British Soldiers have been beheaded on the streets in broad daylight by Islamic extremists. None of this is being investigated, or prosecuted because everyone is so enthralled with being "multicultural" and "with it" or afraid of being branded a "racist" or "Xenophobe" by their more "hip" fellow citizens. These people and nations are committing cultural suicide and are gleeful about doing so.

All the differences between Europe and the US with regards to accepting "refugees" or "immigrants" is that we are attempting to identify WHO is coming, WHERE they came from, and WHAT their background and intentions are BEFORE they get here and establish a foothold, as they've done in Europe. They sort of have already in Dearborn, Michigan, which is the Islamic HQ of the US. We cannot simply allow whomever to come and go as they please. Look at many of the smaller more wealthy nations. You cannot just move in and consider yourself a citizen. Switzerland, Grand Cayman, and Bermuda, nations I have personally researched require hopeful citizens to deposit substantial sums of money into national banks, and have substantial assets available in order to maintain a certain level of lifestyle, as well as having secured employment. Bermuda will not officially accept even tourists until tickets for return passage back to where one came from is produced. So you will not even be let in until they are satisfied that you will be leaving when you say you will be. With Bermuda only being 30 miles long, tracking you down isn't tough.

Walls: Mexico has walls. Take a look at THEIR southern border. It has big walls protected by automatic weapons, razor wire, etc. You don't just waltz into Mexico. Try it from the South and you will be detained, or shot. The Vatican has walls (originally built to keep Muslims out) yet they call for everyone else to NOT have walls. Obama has walls around his residence, and I don't recall hearing anything about him accepting "refugees" into his place. Why is keeping America safe seen to be so unpopular?

Islamic violence in the US is still rare. However, even one instance is too many. A few years back, a woman in Oklahoma was beheaded by an Islamic man and the same man tried to behead a second woman before he was stopped. Workplace violence is what they called it because the Islamic man had been fired. Islamic marches in Michigan, NYC, LA, and other major cities have those throngs shouting "Death to America." Do we really need to have the same violence problems here as they do in Europe before we admit to having a problem? By then it's too late, as Europe is finding out. At this pace, within 10 years there won't be a Europe as we know it. It will be the Islamic Caliphate of Europe. Priceless historical places, artifacts, and structures will be destroyed and/or looted, and Europe will end up looking like Homs Syria, or any other place ISIS has destroyed because it "offended" them. Food for thought...

You've just made a fabulous account of why a ban from seven predominantly Muslim countries is totally ineffective. Based on your comments a ban from European countries would make more sense.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - You might be right. We have always had the benefit of two oceans protecting our east and west borders. Europe isn't so lucky. Maybe we need to start looking at people from Europe more closely too.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - Correct, which is why the politics involved with banning only certain countries is dumber than dirt. Use extreme vetting for everyone, no matter where they're from, and throw this PC ban out the window.

SSG Unger, it is your examples of fear mongering that makes assimilation into American society difficult. So for every one radical Muslim that commits an atrocity there is a radical Christian that commits an atrocity but it doesn't mean one should condemn an entire culture. Trump lives in a tower and pretty sure he hasn't invited refugees or immigrants into his home either if it wasn't financially beneficial to him. Dylan Roof an example of wanting to rid America of Blacks but Americans are not going to condemn all White Americans or White Christians for his actions so lets not condemn an every Muslim for actions of radicals that many good Muslims also do not accept and condemn.
