Why Selling F-35s to Taiwan Is a Terrible Idea

I agree with his first point...they are too expensive for Taiwan's budget; they could get more bang for the buck with more SAMs. However, the author never mentions Taiwan's deep mountain aircraft tunnels, their rapid runway repair capabilities, or how difficult it is to keep a runway un-usable. He also fails to even mention the F-35's "special" capabilities that you can make use of even with a small number of jets.
