Thanks for posting, great article on the history (452 people stuffed into the back and 20,000 lbs overweight is amazing). My last ride in one we jumped out the back at about 1,000 ft (though broke a vertebrae but that wasn't the planes fault :)

SGT 1000 ft does not give you a bunch of time for corrections haha I never broke anything other than equipment and pride but have seen lots of guys get mangled on the DZ. What is sad, I don't think I was ever a big fan of jumping, hell I was even a jump master, but I did it for 20+ years.

I have no idea how much time I have spent jumping out of, flying in, or getting a little CAS from them. I will say as an Army SF guy they are one of greatest platforms ever made.

It looked like they dropped the MOAB out of a C130 last week as well! Went to USAF Air Ground Operations School at Hurlburt Field about thirty years ago. Even back then it was amazing what the AC-130s were capable of.
