Why the US military can't forget about ground combat vehicles

For the same reason they can't forget ground combat troops!

We do need ground vehicles and troops. The troop reduction is a huge mistake. With less members to replace those who keep getting deployed. The rate of suicide will increase. These Service members are tired. Quit pussyfooting around and send in an overwhelming force to wipe out the terror cells. If the leaders really wanted to win, they would do like the Marines and Army did to Fallujah and Samarrah back in 04-05 and just level entire city blocks. Or when the locals are tired of having their families killed off by insurgents, they will come to us and point fingers. Like Ramadi 06-09
