CSM, you have worked hard to get to where you are now, that means that you have the strength to face any obstacle put in your way. Some people stop at that obstacle, and let it dominate them. That's why in my opinion there is a lack of female leaders, the obstacles they don't want to go over or face. Just saying.

Inability or unwillingness to face and counter an obstacle sounds like a clear lack of leadership potential to me, particularly in a military environment.

I know there have been times being pregnant set me back behind my peers. When on a temporary profile you cannot attend schools. I would recover eventually, but it took hard work. I would not give up my kids for the early promotions though. It was worth having to wait longer to get promoted to have my children in my life. :)

Questions like this are in part what is wrong with today's military. All about quotas and pushing agendas. When females only make up 15% of the military, you should expect there to be less female leaders.

Personally, I think it's because most women don't have the ambition to do what it takes to be an effective leader. Most of the women I know make excuses because of their gender instead of stepping up and putting in the work to succeed.

Not to forget there are simply a lot more males in the military than females.
