Sad to see her go. Didn't regulations about relatives serving together get changed after this?

I recall a wall mural in one of the buildings at NTC Treasure Island back in 1977 about the brothers and remembered that brothers where no longer allowed to serve on the same ship at the same time. As far as serving on different ships, that was allowed.

PO2 Mark Saffell - lol Treasure Island. I wonder how many people here have ever been there, remember it, or even knew it existed. My brother died towards the end of my WestPac, and I was flown home ahead of the ship for the funeral. I had to report to TI while waiting for the ship, something like 2 weeks. I wonder what they're doing with it, now. Hmm.

While on the Enterprise we use to go to our yearly Fire Fighting School there plus that's where I went to "C" School for Radiac Maint. Back then they still had the Acey/Duecy Club and had fun dancers on Friday Lunches...LOL

If ever there were a family sacrifice more for the USA, I've yet to hear of them. God bless them all!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs Today's Millennials sure could take note of what it means to sacrifice for your country, from this woman and her family.
