It seems to me that there are two sides to this fight. Maybe we should look at taking the fight to the ideological puppet-masters as opposed to wasting time, money and lives fighting the puppets.

By pulling support from the rebels and moving towards Assad the rebels will feel betrayed and many more will turn to terrorism.
