You need to source better. Wikipedia cannot even be used by high school students as a legitimate source, certainly not in college. It simply is not reliable for accurate information on many, many topics. If you are a "purveyor of info" as you say then is bad info. Perhaps you meant consumer, not purveyor but either way this is not a legitimate research/data source for any academic pursuit.

I believe the OP was putting up the matter for discussion, as well as the source itself. Good answer. Every time frame, region and culture addressed using women in combat differently.

I skimmed through this article on combat warriors that are woman from other counties and women in combat, I don't know what your trying to get at, because I do support woman in combat roles because early women like MOLLY PICTURE and St. Barbara are Heroines of the Field Artillery and the Molly picture award is given to females who contribute to the communities. There are certain MOSs in the military that I believe that the military and the Defense department should relook this whole woman in combat arms. I know if you look at other counties women are in Artillery and Armor units but their on the howitzers with self-loading systems. I explained in and earlier article about weapons systems because we don't have no advance weapons systems for them to occupy like the European counties. I don't see any type of new systems coming out until 2025 or later and women will be doing Battalion level type jobs or AMIN jobs in combat arms. Back in the Roman day Artillery rounds/ rocks didn't weight 100 pounds either.

SPC Jill Drushal, RN, MA - Wiki is never the all go to reference, but for the purpose of the post and based upon the multiple areas I researched for this, it works for a reference only starting point.

SP5 Christine Conley - I don't understand why you tagged me about the "motherhood gene." I made no reference to it. But, since you brought it up, all four of my children were "surprises.". . . As for the idea of female roles in the military, yours was much more "typically female" than mine. My generation owes yours a debt of gratitude for that.

Interesting Article. Women fighting along side males goes back to the dawn of time.
