I had a friend who had tickets and wanted me to go with her. Unfortunately I was in Vietnam. I had received my orders and was due to leave on the 29th of August. I tried my best to leave early but could not do so. BTW, my friend met her husband-to-be there. They married 6 months later and are still together today. So, fate intervened.
