I believe personally that this was a deliberate attack by the Chinese. With well over a billion people in China they could afford to test the virus in Wuhan and see how many people died. I know it may seem Machiavellian, I don't put it past them. The facts fit my narrative. The virus struck and took hold in Wuhan and then China shut Wuhan off from the rest of the country and allowed people to leave only. To me this was an act of War not just on the United States but on all countries.
