CUNNALLY, James Patrick, Motor Machinist’s Mate 1c, USNR. Wife, Mrs. Marion Cunnally, 68 Cushman Rd., Brighton, Boston.
This is my uncle Jimmy whose Sub was sunk off the Philippines Unfortunately his sub was sunk by friendly fire and it is now on "Eternal Patrol" with all hands who were lost in this WWII event.
I remember when he was home on leave and took me for an ice cream. I was very proud of him in his blues with rows or ribbons and stripes on his sleeves. And about two months later my Aunt told me that he had been killed in the Pacific War.
