The women in the unit are convinced Islamic State militants are scared of women fighters "because they think if they are killed by a woman, they will not go to heaven," said Nauzad.
"This story encourages more women to join the fight."
In a conservative society where women are often expected to stay at home, these women say gender does not keep them from entering battle.
"I saw them raping my Kurdish sisters and I couldn't accept this injustice," Nauzad said.
"They took eight of my neighbors and I saw they were killing the children," Asema Dahir told Reuters last month at a checkpoint near a front line north of Mosul.

It is hard to say what the outcome would be. This part of the world is complicated enough and trying to understand thoughts beliefs and Islam being interjected all facets of life including government can be a lot to understand.
From my western point of view I hope they kick some ISIS butt!!

But notice that these Women Warriors are not bogged down by the heavy added weight that we carry, the same can be said for our enemy they all travel light while our men bitch that Women Warriors can not carry the full combat load. Idiotic thinking we men have that a full combat load wins in battle, because we have been in guerrilla warfare since 911. Another thing about Kurdish Women fighters they have leaders that know how to employ women in battle, lesson to the macho men here.
