Those that can afford in my area will be sending their children to private schools that teach a ridged course of studies, instead of what the teachers in public schools deem as gospel Lt Col Charlie Brown

This is causing a resurgence of interest and enrollment in Catholic schools around here.

GySgt Thomas Vick - Only if they are qualified and have the backbone to make their children do the work in a home school environment Gunny. Almost every student I get that was home schooled up to eighth grade is years behind on their math skills. I would say the average grade level for my students entering ninth grade is between sixth and seventh grade.
I have had some excellent students who came from home schooling but they are by far the exception.

The fastest way to break the Teachers Union, and get your kids taught what they should be learning would be to take them out of public schools, no kids to teach, no federal funding, no work for Teachers, that aren't teaching the 3 R's, history, and subjects that will help them through life, please explain to me how CRT is going to help your child through life.

The problem here is accountability on the teachers part. In Tennessee we have state standardized testing to measure student and teacher growth of their students in math, biology, history and English. If a teacher's students fall behind too far or lose ground substantially the teachers license can be suspended or revoked. This is at the state level, not school or district where this occurs so the good ole boys club doesn't work.
