Is a soldier allowed to reenlist early if they are on assignment for Drill?

Is a soldier allowed to reenlist early if they are on assignment for Drill? There are 17 months left on current contract and would definitely prefer to re-enlist rather than extend.

Yes. They have to be able to meet the service remaining requirement

You are allowed to re-enlist 12 months from your ETS date

If they are eligible to receive a bonus they can reenlist early. Otherwise, they will have to extend.
