I was long gone by then, did my training there at Ft Sill after being yanked out of infantry at Ft Polk back in ' 73 . Was prepping for Bam as a grunt and poof it ended. Got moved to Artillery and reassigned to the 4/92. 8 inch A Btry ended up in Erie PA . It was a major improvement on Ft Polk, take my word for it.
