I was diagnosed with acid reflux when I was like 5 or 6. Nowadays, I can go without medication just fine. Worst case scenario: I have to clear my throat or cough occasionally. Cav Scout Requires a PULHES of 111121 and I'm worried that the fact that I still take medicine for it (at least, I should be; most of the time I forget/skip) will disqualify me for Cavalry Scout, perhaps making me 211121 or whatnot.

The only way to find out is when you go through MEPS, if you haven't already done so.

Thank you. I'm going to talk to my recruiter and see if he can help me out. I appreciate it!

Things may have changed but when I was a recruiter you could not join the Military if you were required to take medication full time for anything. Go talk to a recruiter.

Just look at the disqualifying conditions that you can Google. Don't think that is on it. BTW, acid reflux kills over time. Nothing wrong with taking the daily pill. You don't need the cancer or bypass later in life. Too much to live for. You should see the crap MILs have that is controlled, hence OK. Reflux is Bush League.
