Tonight’s out of context question: you have relieved everyone who is 5lbs overweight or more. They each had years of experience in aircraft fab and repair. One has been recognized for innovation. You now have less then the minimum number of crew to launch a safe aircraft. The primary inspector retired a month ago and changed her number. Who is ensuring an aircraft is flight ready? Hypothetical because I have not been in that environment in over 25 years. Asking for current information. I see a lot of commercial aircraft aging and breaking. I live in the aircraft capital. Aircraft is Kansas primary business, along with farming.

Standards may be inconvenient, but necessary when dealing with aircraft that cost millions and the lives of the crews that fly them.
