I can't see why Armor is a bad fit for females. So long as they are strong enough to fix a broken track.

Probably from Army Times. I'd heard about it before it "hit the press".
My point though is this happened long before Ranger School, but got little to no visibility.

I suspect it was just the timing. Right now females in combat is a hot button issue, so anything that can be remotely tied to the topic will be brought up. Had this been more recent, I'm sure it would have been covered.

Lol. Good point. BUT 12B is now open to females. And it is also authorizes those qualified to attend Bradley MG School.
