How does the MACP work? Since my husband will PCS shortly, will I also get out on orders with him or is there a process I have to follow?

My husband and I Recently got married and have been on MACP for approximately 7 months. He’s going to PCS shortly. My question is will I get out on orders with him instantly or is their a process I have to follow through with in order to go with him? I have been on Fort Hood time on station for a year now. Is their a time requirement if he’s going over seas or what if he’s stationed state side ?

If he got the assignment before you were MACP then you'll have to figure your way out there or he will have to delete his assignment. If you were both MACP when he received the assignment then you'll come on assignment soon.

If you have not received any orders then you need to speak to your Retention Control NCO or Officer. If you are enrolled in the MACP then you are both supposed to PCS together. My ex husband and I never had separate dates for PCSing.
