This MILPER message refers to reassignments from 01FEB2022-30OCT2022. I am set to report to Ft. Bliss in September of this year, but that falls during a period of a Brown-Out-Cut-Off. It states I have to get approval from O-6/LTC to push my orders 30 days to the left/right. Does this apply to me, and what steps do I need to take to report earlier than my original 06SEP2022 report date?

Haven't read the message, but I can tell you that deferments always take an O6 endorsement, unless you reenlisted for the assignment, then it's an O5 endorsement

SGT(P) (Join to see) I wasn't guessing, I already know what happened. You're an Option 1 reup for SRR. Your report date and class date conflict with each other. Had you reenlisted for this location it would be an easy fix. But now you need to figure out of your unit paid for this or your branch manager. I'm guessing your unit, since your branch would have cut TDY enroute orders with a report date after.

That means your unit is paying for it. Which means you can't go if you're PCSing, because you can't go TDY and Return to a school once you've cleared that unit. Which means you won't get your bonus you reenlisted five years for.

So, you need to put in a deferment so you can go to school, return, clear your DTS and travel voucher, PCS, and get your bonus.

Could I try to get a different school date so I could PCS? I’m really not trying to defer if I can’t help it. :/ SFC (Join to see)

SGT(P) (Join to see) realistically, no you can't. You can defer a report date for a PCS but you can't defer a class date

So I went and talked to them today, and they told me they really can’t do anything until I have official orders cut, which I haven’t received yet. I don’t even know how far out your official orders are published and cut.
