Good read, but it left out one key point...listen to your Senior NCOs. Those crusty old MSGs and SGMs can save one lots of time and pain.

1SG Pete Marcell, you are so on point. Listening to the NCOs has gotten me more traction with them, because I ask them for their help. I also ensure that they are respected for their authoritative position. They are leaders for a reason, and I still learn everyday from them. A true honor to deal with professionals.
