Started off with active duty Marines, now Navy reserves, I really want to deploy, it's not about trying to do full time, i just actually want to be out there supporting the mission. I am a logistics specialist in the USN reserves

It’s like being on active duty. Depending on the situation maybe 6 days on the day off, may be 2 hrs days.

Having been "deployed" 3 times as an LS2 ( actually, you are mobilized, unless you are attached to a deployable reserve unit, usually a logistical or coastal defense unit), it was very much like being on active duty on a ship or shore station. It also depends on the mission that the unit you deploy or mobilize with. I would start with your NCC at your NOSC for the possible options to volunteer for active duty recall and where it might get you sent and what types of missions may be available.
