Hey all! I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was great! I have a few questions that I was wondering if someone could sort out for me, I would be grateful. I just went through the first AMEDDselection board (Oct) of FY19 and found out I got picked up to be active duty as a 65D.

I was wondering the following: How long after selection does it take to get your scroll and sign your contract? After you sign your contract how long does it generally take to get your orders? Finally, when you get your orders for DCC/BOLC do you get your first assignment/duty station with those orders or is that something that gets hashed out during DCC/BOLC?

Thank you all in advance!

Happy Thanksgiving - I was selected for RA (regular army/active duty) 66S back in March of this year and scroll approval came about 6 months later in September. After that I had to retake my physical at MEPS and was able to sign my contract October. Now just waiting for my assignment orders , but I’ve learned that’s how military is - just have to be prepared, patient and learn how to “hurry up and wait”. I couldn’t tell you about dcc and Bolc because I took BOLC as a Reservist, but I imagine you would have orders for your duty station concurrently and would report after you finish each course. Best of luck and congratulations on your selection (Join to see)

Congratulations, and welcome! I will let the AD guys/gals speak to the timing as I am an ARNG PA and I am sure a lot has changed in the last decade.
