654TH Regional Support Group headquarters company was visited by the Deputy Commander of the Canadian 3rd Army Division Brigadier-General Stanton. Stanton, his Command Sergeant Major, and Chief of Staff toured the facility and gave a brief on Maple Resolve 2018 to the soldiers of the RSG.

The headquarters company of the RSG will provide support to the United States forces participating in the exercise. Maple Resolve is Canada’s largest exercise with more than six thousand service members participating in the exercise.

The exercise is held at Wainwright, Alberta and will test units on their collective level skills to ensure they are ready to deploy when needed.

We used to have, and probably still do, have a 12 hour bottle to throttle rule in the US Air Force. Wonder if the Canadian Air Force now has a 12 hour joint to throttle rule?

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen 27 day rule for pilots. 3 days for Canadian soldiers weapons qualification. It was weird to hear come out of the mouth of Brigadier General Stanton
